Erickson: Scandinavia deserves F1

According pilot Markus Eriksson Sauber F1 must return to Scandinavia because the region deserves to host round of the championship.
The last Grand Prix of Scandinavia's been 37 years and Eriksson believes it is time to resume the tradition. The grid currently has three pilots there - Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas of Finland and Marcus Ericsson of Sweden.According to Marcus Scandinavian fans are many and will support such an event:
"I do not see how it will happen soon, but it would be great from sport to organize a competition in northern Europe. In Scandinavia appreciate motorposrt traditions and F1 is quite Swedes and Finns. It would be nice to have a race there because scary many people will come to watch it. I know that such an event is worth a lot of money and I do not think that a country like Sweden can not afford it, but certainly the interest in it will be huge. "
Eriskon himself made his debut in Formula 1 in 2014 with launches and so became the first Swede on the starting grid for the Grand Prix of Canada in 1991 with Stefan Johansson.
"The support I get from Sweden is great. We had not experienced driver in F1 23 years and appreciate the support of all of moment that made my debut. It's great that I'm here and I'm glad that my results are improving" said Eriksson.
