Plan Renault Sport

CEO of Groupe Renault Carlos Ghosn revealed the whole plan of Renault field of motor sport. The event was held at the Renault Technocentre in Giyankur, France. Renault Sport will be managed by two divisions: Renault Sport Racing and Renault Sport Cars. Renault Sport Racing will cover all activities of Renault in motorsport, including Renault Sport Formula One Team, Renault e.dams, Formula Renault 2.0, Renault Sport R.S.01 Trophy, plus additional client and rally programs. Renault Sport Racing will cover activities in both motorsportni bases in Enstoun, Britain and Viry-Chatillon, France. Renault Sport Cars, the new name of Renault Sport Technologies, will manage the development and popularization of the automobile portfolio of Renault Sport. Renault Sport is known worldwide for their excellent "hot" hatchbacks like Megane RS and Clio RS, and also with efficient and affordable GT versions, including the new Megane GT. Renault Sport will develop international popularity and attractiveness of the brand and increase portfolio with greater investment in research and development. Renault will use the new structure for two major functions. First, the aim is to promote the brand Renault Sport to a wider audience with the help of Renault Sport Formula One Team and the global audience of Formula 1.
Secondly, the company will use the Formula E racing and activities, Clio Cup, for example, to demonstrate image and design of another part of the range of Renault, like electric cars, for example. Renault Sport Racing and Renault Sport Cars will work together to maximize technical and commercial synergies. The first demonstration of this interaction will be revealed during the Monaco Grand Prix. Carlos Ghosn commented: "We believe that motorsport has ignited the imagination of both enthusiasts and everyday drivers and so today launch a full program in motorsport. Formula 1 plays a major role in our attempt to strengthen popularization of the Renault range, especially in areas where Renault is a novice.Naturally, our hopes are that our commitment to motorsport will have a direct impact on sales of Renault Sport. Once consolidate engineering development in motor sports, then we can not allow it to be transferred and commercialized. Giyom Boas, Brand Director Groupe Renault, will lead the marketing efforts of the group to ensure alignment and activation of racing programs with marketing strategy of Renault.
At the core of the racing activities will face newly formed Renault Sport Formula One Team. The new F1 challenger relies on chassis Renault R.S.16, developed and manufactured in Enstoun while the drive tract Renault R.E.16 will continue to evolve in Viry-Chatillon.
F1 teams have made several key appointments to avoid leakage of qualified personnel, which is essential for the high demands of F1 Bob Bell was appointed as F1 CTO. He will oversee the efforts of Nick Chester as Technical Director for the chassis and Remy tafia as Technical Director Engine. Kevin Magnussen and Dzholian Palmer confirmed as leading drivers of Renault Sport Formula One Team. They will be supported by Esteban Definitive who joins as a third pilot and development. During the event, Renault announced its partner portfolio. The partner of the Renault-Nissan Alliance - Infiniti will continue its journey in Formula 1, along with Renault, and will increase its commitment to sport through a specific technology program focused on developing systems to recover energy from second generation (ERS) about F1 drive block that will be to the benefit of all brands of Renault-Nissan Alliance. Total and Renault will expand their existing partnership through the delivery of a wide range of products Total, specially designed for Renault Sport Formula One Team. Renault also announced new partnerships with other prestigious brands including watchmaking premium brand Bell & Ross, the inventor of the revolutionary audio systems Devialet, as well as continuing existing relationships with current partners of the F1 teams, including Microsoft and EMC. Renault will continue its working relationship with Gravity Motorsports, an affiliate of Genii Capital Group, which will retain a minority stake in F1 team. Genii and Gravity worked tirelessly to ensure the survival of the team in extremely difficult conditions and Renault recognizes these efforts, leaving Gerard Lopez as director emeritus of the team. Employees of Renault Sport Technologies will go under the umbrella of Renault Sport Racing, as management will remain in the hands of Jean-Pascal Doss. The new organization will allow Renault to connect more effectively the various categories, which is engaged in the moment of rally sport Clio R3T, in rally raid to ednomarkovite track championships - Clio Cup and Renault Sport R.S.01 Trophy. Renault will continue its commitment to the one-Series Formula Renault 2.0. For more than 45 years, the series gave chance of leading drivers and champions to start his career in motor sport and reach its highest stage. To date, about 60% of current drivers in F1 have been through Formula Renault. The commitment of Renault's Formula E will go under the umbrella of Renault Sport Racing. Renault is committed to the championship at least until season 4 team Renault e.dams. The strategic importance of Formula E for the Renault brand is emphasized by the strength and stability of the management team, composed of four-time F1 world champion Alain Prost and Jean-Paul Drio.
