Reno: Of course we would have taken Alonso

CEO of Renault Carlos Ghosn told the Spanish press that gladly would have taken over Fernando Alonso, but admitted that it depends on him, and by the management team.
Alonso won his two world titles with Renault in 2005 and 2006 before moving to McLaren and then again to return in 2008. Now the Spanish pilot still makes for the team from Woking, but the results of the team are poor and often said that the Spaniard could leave. Now a French company that bought controlling stakes in Lotus returns with a factory team in the sport, but relies on backup pilot of McLaren debutant Kevin Magnussen and Jolyon Palmer. "Whether I would like to sign with Alonso? Sure, but it's not my job, and F1 team. They take responsibility and make decisions on the appointment of pilots. Over the years in Formula 1 we have gained many friends and we met many talented pilots and Fernando is one of the most talented. It is definitely one of the best drivers in F1 at the moment, "said Carlos Ghosn.
